Distortion

This lesson explains the distortion effect. Distortion effect shapes the waveform changing the input. Depending on the type of distortion they can be linear on non-linear.

Vocoder

Vocoder is a category of voice codec that analyzes and synthesizes the human voice signal for audio data compression, multiplexing, voice encryption or voice transformation. This lesson explains the Vocoder effect. Vocoder uses two signals, carrier and modulator, divided into bands of frequencies. It applies the amplitudes found in the bands of the modulator signal to the corresponding bands in the carrier signal.

Auto-Tune

This lesson explains the auto-tune effect. The auto-tune effect detects the frequency of the input signal and changes it to a different frequency.

Analog Gear Emulators

This lesson explains digital emulations of analog gear. Many virtual effects and instruments are an emulation of an actual analog hardware device.

Dynamic EQ

This lesson explains the dynamic EQ effect. Dynamic eq effect is an equalizer that can dynamically adjust the gain of it's bands.

Multiband Dynamics

This lesson explains the multiband dynamic processors. Multiband dynamic processors can divide the incoming signal into separate frequency bands and process each one with separate dynamic processors.

Practical Example

This lesson shows practical examples of the special effects being used.
