    You may enroll in our certificate program or individual course by clicking on the desired course or certificate located on the homepage, then clicking the “Enroll” button on the program’s description page. After selecting “Enroll”, you will be prompted create an account.

    YES. No secrets, no credit card, no spam, no bs of any kind. We used to charge, but then covid came and now everyone is a music production teacher. We truly made one of the most amazing and powerful music production courses in the world, and since we can't charge for it because the ad cost is too high, we decided to make it FREE for everyone. Taking the Course

  • Can I download the videos?

    Our courses are not downloadable. That said, once you enroll you will get lifetime access to the courses and all future updates at mixxinacademy.com, for as long as we continue to exist. We believe it will be a very long time but are not sure. We can't promise anything but will always do our best. Have fun making music and tell others about how unbelievable it is that our courses are free and will remain free for as long as we can.

  • Do you offer Certificates of Completion or Diplomas?

    Upon completing all 6 courses in our Music Production Certificate, you will receive an official Certificate of completion. Your certificate will have its own unique URL, from which you can download it in PDF, print it (in high resolution) or even send the URL itself as proof of having completed the certificate. Your diploma includes a unique code that allows anyone to verify its authenticity.

  • What software do I need to take the Music Production Certificate Program?

    MIXXIN Academy uses Ableton Live as its primary DAW, however, our education is designed to be software-agnostic. The concepts taught consist of advanced techniques that can be transcribed to any major software platform. We always try to offer a recap of the procedures executed in alternative software platforms such as Studio One, FL Studio, Cubase, Logic, and SoundBridge.

    Our courses are designed to ensure you acquire the knowledge needed to be able to turn your ideas into reality using any free or paid DAW, as well as any native, free or paid plugins out there. We teach you how to fish; it is your choice if you fish with a titanium rod or a broomstick.

  • What equipment do I need to take the course?

    Studio Monitors and a MIDI Controller are recommended but not required.

    If you have a Windows computer, we highly suggest purchasing an external USB soundcard with an ASIO low-latency/high-fidelity audio driver and a pair of studio headphones. You can use your computer’s soundcard for low-latency playback by installing ASIO4ALL.

    Modern-day Mac computers come with a stock low-latency/high-fidelity audio driver called CoreAudio and a suitable high-quality soundcard built-in.

  • How long is the Music Production Certificate?

    Our Music Production Certificate includes over 80 hours of high quality video lessons. Once you enroll, you will get lifetime access to the courses so you can go at your own pace. Most students complete our 6 courses in approximately 12 months.

  • What genres of music do you teach?

    The theory, concepts and techniques taught in the Music Production Certificate can be applied to any genre of music.

  • Will you get me a job after I finish?

    Our instructors are professional audio producers that have built a career out of working in the music industry. You may utilize 1on1 time for just $50 per hour to ask for career advice from your instructor during the program, however we can not guarantee you a job. Personal fulfillment is the purpose of our education.

  • Do I need any experience to take the Music Production Certificate?

    No, the Music Production Certificate is a tiered curriculum that slowly builds from the basics of audio to advanced forms of music production. It’s designed to slowly and effectively teach you the fundamentals of music production while building to advanced forms of professional applications in areas of songwriting, sound design, arrangement, mixing and mastering.

  • I have experience in music production, do I have to start at the first course of the Music Production Certificate?

    We strongly recommend you revisit the fundamental topics discussed in the first course of the Music Production Certificate, as the information is utilized throughout the curriculum. Our Certificate consists of all our courses put together in sequential order. Plus, you get a diploma when you complete it. That said, if you prefer, you may also enroll in an individual course of the Music Production Certificate directly to study a specific area of music production like Sound Design, Audio Processing, Composition & Sketching, Arrangements & Structure or Mixing & Mastering.

  • Can I restart the course if I’m falling behind?

    Once enrolled, you will get lifetime access to the courses and can go at your own pace. There is no time limit.
