Samplers

Samplers are electronic or digital musical instruments which use sound recordings of real instrument sounds, excerpts from recorded songs or found sounds. In this lesson we explain how sampled instruments work.Sampled instruments rely on having usually all of the notes of a certain instrument sampled. They tend to recreate the sampled instrument with most realism compared to their synthesized counterparts.

Using Sampled Instruments

This lesson explains how to use sampled instruments. Most sampled instruments offer a large number of variables so that the user can tailor the sound to his need as close as possible.

Creating Sampled Instruments

This lesson explains how to create a sampled instrument. Sampled instruments are most commonly created by sampling every note, or three notes per octave of an instrument we want to sample.

Practical Example

This lesson shows a practical example of creating a sampled instrument.
